Come celebrate our 52nd summer at the best summer camp in the land! We are excited to spend the summer with you! Leave the pencils and notebooks at home for the summer and instead bring your swimming suit and sleeping bag, and get ready for the best summer of your life!! Camp Cottontail, nestled in the Canyons above Lake Castaic, has been offering children, ages 6-16, one thing for the past 52 years and one thing only...a summer experience you can't get anywhere else.

Come climb on our rock climbing wall, take a dip in our pool, spend time in the Arts and Crafts area, or spend a fun filled day at the famous Ventura County beaches and learn to surf! Two zip lines, a high ropes course, minibikes and go carts means fun for everyone. The real fun comes after dinner when Evening Activity gets under way. "Counselor Dress Up", "Skit Night" and "The Camp Dance" are some of the campers favorites

About our New Home at VT Ranch

Cottontail’s new home known as VT Ranch is set on over 200 rustic acres in a suburb of Los Angeles County, Castaic Lake.  Castaic Lake is 45 minutes from Downtown Los Angeles and 30 minutes from the San Fernando Valley.  The ranch has been used for resident camp programs over of 60 years starting with the Boy Scouts of America and now with VT Ranch.  After working at Camp Cottontail for 24 years, Lynn "Chuckles” Pedroza acquired Camp Cottontail in 2009 with the intention of upholding the traditions and wonderful work which the original owners had started. Camp Cottontail continues to be ranked among the top summer camps in the world, drawing from the expertise and resources that Lynn has brought from her illustrious career as a Camp Director. Continuing to strive for excellence, we have received international acclaim. As a member of the American Camp Association we meet the strictest guidelines in the camping industry. Our accreditation through the American Camp Association is one we are proud of and recognize as a commitment to being the best we can be.
