Oh What A Job It Is...

Are you looking for a challenging, exciting and rewarding summer job? Cottontail Ranch may be the perfect place for you. A summer camp offers you the opportunity to challenge yourself and those around you in a non-competitive, friendly, outdoor environment. As a member of the Cottontail staff you will have the chance to develop interpersonal skills, as well as individual leadership skills while working toward one common goal as a team: the happiness and well-being of our campers.

Who may apply?
Staff members must be at least 19 years of age, have completed their first year of college and are available to work beginning June 22nd. While summer camp is a fun and exciting job, it takes special people who have the energy, patience and skills to work 24 hours a day, 6 days a week. We welcome applications from people with a variety of backgrounds.

Minimum Qualifications
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors
Ability to relate to one's peer group
Ability to accept supervision and guidance
Ability to teach or assist in one of our activities
Good character, integrity and adaptability
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
First Aid and CPR

Positions Available
There are two type of positions available:

CABIN COUNSELORS are responsible for all aspects of the campers in their group, from their daily schedules to their general well-being. Counselors provide positive role models for their campers as well as 24 hour supervision.

INSTRUCTORS provide campers with individual instruction in their particular area of expertise. They also share the roles and responsibilities of cabin counselors when not instructing. Instructors must have specific training and skills in one of the following areas:

Arts & Crafts
Kayaking/Paddleboards
Pool/Swimming
Archery
Nature
Rock Climbing
Mini Bikes / GoCarts
Outdoor Living
Surfing/Beach
Sports
High Ropes
Wakeboarding

Salary
A first year staff member salary begins at $275 per week. Salaries do vary based upon experience and relevant certification.
